I'm thinking that if I apply the base color internally and annotate where I want to paint what, I can then export the texture to photoshop and detail those places? I'm generally getting an understanding of how UV unwrapping works within Blender. if that makes sense? It just leaves things with a more organic feel.Ĭan you point me towards a tutorial for the "old way" ? Is it extremely inefficient or is it something that still suits some people's workflow? Quixel Mixer looks good but can you paint directly on the object? I'd really like to get a painterly effect with brush strokes and color variation with my own hand rather than finding pre-existing textures to mash together to recreate that effect. I'm working on incorporating its use into my professional practice and work, but I'm just not ready to make any additional investments yet.
